Nerfing defence ignoring - Some feedbacks and concerns

Dear developer,
Thanks for your development update which is much appreciated by most of the players.
Whilst we look forward to most of your short- to medium-term development plans, we have some cocerns about your plan to nerf "defence ignoring" and other nerf plans which are not speci****lly mentioned by you.
First of all, we trust that, in most of the contemporary online games, "nerfing" a particular character, occupation or game play features (or you can call it rebalancing) mainly aims at promoting fairness among different players (especially for PVP) instead of players vis-à-vis game developer, with the ultimate goal of enhancing the game experience and retaining customers (paying or not). This game does not have much PVP features so far and most of the time we are playing PVE. Also, compared to other games which run balloting system as a way to get rare characters, in this game, players can hire mates possessing the skill sets they want, and the underlying unfairness among players due to their inability to gain access to certain skills or mates is not so damaging for this game. So please revisit the purpose of nerfing "defence ignoring" AND all other skills which you later on find that they have been heavily used by players. Irrespective of your motive as mentioned in your development note, the net effect of almost every nerf since the start of Early Access is to make the game harder and more time consuming to players at all levels, and most of the time, there is no rebalancing measure/change to compensate the increased difficulty/time cost following your nerf. It is quite obvious that this kind of one-way nerfing just tips the balance in your favour.
Next, the reason why all players had high dependency on certain skills (yes, we all know you are referring to "defence ignore") because it is so convenient and efficient to complete the battle AFTER you have changed the victory conditions to kill all ships and also because other skills are so useless that we aren't save as the same level of time as using defence ignore to finish a battle. It can take us more than 10-15 mins to complete a stupid battle which ends up with cannon balls or wood or 1 unit of trade goods. Nerfing the only way we can quickly complete a battle will discourage many players to resort to military, and destory one of the central features of the game, and eventually make the game even more hard core. Can you see how many players are now doing duel? Duel is just waste of our time. This is an example and the result of your continuous nerf of the game play which makes the duel features totally redundant. Your nerf of one thing creates another kind of imbalance or inconvenience. So please study seriously players' behaviour, do cost-benefit an.al.ysis (NOT JUST TO YOU BUT ALSO TO PLAYERS) before implementing a nerf.
Our recommendation is to make an overall rebalancing and avoid piece-meal and over nerfing of any skill or character or ship. The following are some thoughts to optimise the game difficulty for brainstorming:
- reinstating the initial victory condition - Kill the flag ship will end the battle (most of the time we just want to END such time wasting battle)
- even though the reward will be improved a little bit if we get 3 stars, the victory condition for high level players should be redesigned (do you know this is just bloody waste of time and so difficult to repair 7 times, ram 7 times and medic 7 times in order to earn 3 stars, which ends up with cannon balls and woods?)
- make it attractive to resort to military and engaging enemy fleets by increasing the reward (just as simple as that), and adjusting ship capturing rate to a reasonable level
- signi.f.iantly strenghen other skills to the similar level as "defence ignore" if you really want us to use different skills. Otherwise, players will just want to get rid of engaging enemy fleets
Finally, for.give me to be so blunt - Your battle system is now like a s.h.i.t.!! Rebalancing the game can not be achieved simply by keep nerfing the game features at the expenses of all players. All korean players will quickly realise the issues we are encountering and soon after your grand opening and the goodwill associated with this IP will soon be gone.
I hope your team will revisit every nerf, if you really want to develop this game on a long term basis.
