This is Chul-Woo Park, the Director of Uncharted Waters Origin.

Three months have passed since I first introduced myself to Admirals in July.

My team and I have tried to present you with diverse content and improve the game in various aspects. I hope our efforts have met your expectations.

Uncharted Waters Origin runs the Global Server and Korean Server separately, and the development team is thoroughly reviewing the game in different ways to improve your gameplay experience on the Global Server.

As a part of that, we increased the number of Blue Gems given as the Investment Rewards and Limited Area Rewards, and we also have several more upcoming improvements under discussion.

We prepared several improvements in the upcoming Nov. 6 (Wed) update, and they are as follows.

Currently, the Global Server and Korean Server have identical content, except that the update order of some Chronicles is different. However, we thought there should be a change in the gacha system, which only exists on the Global Server and creates a difference in difficulty of growth.

Although what I will discuss hereafter may be a sensitive agenda, we decided to make major changes in the gacha system, obtaining Mates, and user growth to lower the growth difficulty, so I ask for your understanding.

More Mates Hiring at the Inn

1. Most of the Mates, previously obtainable only through the gacha, will be assigned to Inns and available for hire at the Inn.
2. Each Mate appears at a different Inn.
3. Quick Hire function to allow Admirals to spend Blue Gems to hire Mates definitely will be added.

Lowered Difficulty of Obtaining Mate Contracts

1. Party function will be added to the Inns.
2. When you enter an Inn, Mates you own may appear at the party by chance. You can spend Ducats or Blue Gems to obtain their Contracts, by chance or definitely, respectively.
3. In the same manner as hiring, each Mate appears at a different Inn.
4. Mate Contracts will be added to the Black Market.
5. Mate Contracts appear by chance, and each Contract appears at a different Black Market.
6. S Grade Common Contract Exchange will be added to the Fortune Teller.

Deletion of the Gacha System

1. There will be no more new gacha Chests and relevant products after the upcoming Nov. 6 (Wed) update.
2. You can still purchase Gacha Chests currently on sale with Tickets you own, but purchasing them with Red Gem will not be available anymore.
3. The sale of gacha Tickets will also cease.
4. All the existing gacha Chests will become unavailable after the future update around next January.
5. Although we recommend you use your Tickets before gacha Chests sales end, we are also considering giving a refund for gacha Tickets you own after the January update. We will provide further details in future notices.

This change will allow you to obtain some Mates and Mate Contracts with in-game currency, Ducat, which were previously obtainable only through Paid Currency, and we believe this will assist you in fostering Mates.

We are constantly reviewing where changes are necessary, and I promise we will keep trying to make the changes beneficial to your gameplay.

Along with these changes, I personally prepared abundant gifts to assist your voyage.

With the expansion of hiring at the Inn, you can now hire diverse S Grade Mates at the Inns.

We will give you 5000 Blue Gems to help you obtain desired Mates with the new ‘Quick Hire’ function.

A past update greatly decreased the Company LV requirement to enter Waters.

It allowed Admirals to sail into the larger oceans as long as they reached a certain Company LV and other requirements, including Seaworthiness.

To let more Admirals sail into the great oceans, we will also give you 3 Grade 20 Improved Ships.

In addition, we prepared a special gift, which is given for the first time, ‘Paid Admiral Selection Voucher’.

You can use this Voucher to obtain one of the Admirals you had to spend 5000 Red Gem to purchase, and ‘William Adams’ added by the recent update can be selected, too.

Please obtain the Admiral you wanted and enjoy the Chronicles we have prepared.

When you obtain new Mates, you have to foster them before assigning them to your Fleets.

To shorten such a process, we also give you Premium Training Material Selection Vouchers and Premium Mate EXP Potions.

These gifts will allow you to accelerate the growth of your new Mates obtained at the Inns or Admirals obtained from the Admiral Voucher and make your fleet stronger.

Last but not least, we will give you Hiring Accelerations and Cheer Accelerations used in hiring and Party at the Inn.

These Accelerations will help you by shortening the cooldown after a failed hiring or Party.
