Today, October 4, is World Animal Day!

This international day is dedicated to promoting animal rights and welfare, aiming for a world where all life is respected.

🐾 What is World Animal Day?

1. History

In 1925, journalist Heinrich Zimmermann organized the first World Animal Day event at the Berlin Sports Palace.

Later in 1931, at an International Animal Protection Congress in Florence, Italy, October 4 was officially established as World Animal Day, coinciding with the feast day of St. Francis, the patron saint of animals.

2. Purpose

The purpose of World Animal Day is to raise awareness of animal sentience and welfare. It embraces pets, wildlife, and livestock, advocating for a life free from cruelty and exploitation, while spreading better protection standards worldwide.

3. Theme for 2025

“Save Animals, Save the Planet!”

This theme highlights how animal welfare and the environment are inseparable. Biodiversity loss, habitat destruction, industrial farming, and pollution affect both animals and the Earth. Protecting animals also means protecting the planet.

4. Did You Know?

World Animal Day is now celebrated in over 100 countries, with activities such as shelter donations, rescue efforts, community clean-ups, educational seminars, ethical tourism, and vegetarian/vegan challenges, making it a truly global movement involving individuals, communities, and organizations.

🎁 Reward Distribution

1. Basic reward will be sent automatically via in-game mail upon login on Oct 4 (Sat).
2. Additional reward will be sent after the event if the goal is met.
3. Storage period: 24 hours
