First, we sincerely bow our heads in apology for the critical issues that occurred after the February update, including the failure of Auto Supply when using Routes and the inability to access the game on the morning of 2/22, as well as the lack of prompt notice regarding these matters, which caused great disappointment and fatigue to our Admirals.

We will strengthen verification of core features and enhance our internal monitoring system so that we can provide immediate notice in the event of any issues and deliver a more stable service.

In this letter, we would like to address your inquiries and provide details on the key updates coming in March.

[Company Research]

We have received a great deal of feedback from Admirals regarding the Company Research revamp applied in the February update.

With this revamp, after 40 points in the Trade branch, the remaining Effects were positioned under Smuggling, which had lower Preference. To enhance point efficiency, we added higher-tier Effects and reorganized the overall structure.

When Company Research was first introduced, many Admirals focused on a single branch among Adventure/Trade/Combat. Accordingly, Company Research was originally designed to allow players to concentrate points into one branch to maximize their sense of growth.

However, as Seasons progressed, more Admirals began engaging in multiple branches simultaneously. The revised Company Research did not fully support this playstyle, resulting in frequent Resets.

Therefore, we plan to implement an additional revamp of Company Research in a future update. The main changes are as follows:

1. Research Points will be used independently for each branch.

- Before: If you had 70 points, they were distributed across Adventure/Trade/Combat.

- After: You will receive 70 points for Adventure, 70 points for Trade, and 70 points for Combat separately, 

2. allowing you to experience growth across all branches when earning Research Points.

Differentiation will be applied within each branch tree.

- Before: You had to choose one branch to focus on among Adventure/Trade/Combat, and investing the same points within a branch resulted in little differentiation between Admirals.

- After: Since each branch receives its own points, you may invest points within each branch tree.

            Example: Within Trade, if there are paths such as General Trade/Barter/Smuggling, you may choose a 

3. primary focus and distribute points accordingly.

- Convenience improvements for Research Learn.

As before, changing specialization will require a Reset.

However, after Resetting, the Research Learn process will be streamlined to improve convenience.

As this revamp requires new development for Company Research, we kindly ask for your understanding that it cannot be immediately applied in the March update.

Given the significant feedback from Admirals, we will prepare to apply the changes as quickly as possible.

[Remote Mayor Market Event]

Amid the active use of Mayor Market Events such as Bazaar, we have received many opinions regarding the inconvenience of having to directly visit a City to initiate a Market Event.

As mentioned in our previous letter, we are positively reviewing the addition of this feature and plan to develop it as a Free Mayor Perk.

However, compared to Market Events conducted through the existing Bureau, certain restrictions are deemed necessary. Therefore, when reserving a Mayor Market Event remotely, an additional condition will be applied so that only events scheduled after a set period of time may be reserved.

[Season Invest Rank Rewards]

The Invest Season system we began together with our Admirals has now reached Season 5.

Although Ship Inscription has been newly added as a reward this season, the overall structure of the Rank Rewards has remained unchanged. As time has passed, we have received many opinions that the rewards have become insufficient.

For the upcoming Invest Season 6, we plan to conduct a full renewal of the Season Rewards.

Rewards for ranks 1–3 will be enhanced with unique rewards, while ranks 4–50 will receive more useful rewards than before. Additionally, the calculation method for Season rankings will be adjusted so that Admirals who have exerted greater influence over the world can achieve higher rankings than under the current system.

[Combat Reward Revamp]

With the upcoming Combat Season, we plan to revamp the rewards of major Combat content such as General Combat, Lighthouse of the Ruins, Assault, and Great Clash in line with the Invest Season 6 update.

Although the reward structure will change significantly, the adjustments are being made in a way that feels improved compared to the previous system. We are also working to restore meaning to content that has become less utilized due to relatively lower reward value.

[3.5th Anniversary Event]

Uncharted Waters Origin is approaching its 3.5th Anniversary. Although we still have much to improve, we were only able to reach this milestone thanks to the Admirals who have supported and loved our game.

To express our gratitude, we are preparing generous rewards for you.

We will continue striving to deliver even better content and services in the future.

[Ship Inscription]

The Ship Inscription system will be added and can be applied starting from Grade 26 Golden Ships.

Through Ship Inscription, randomly selected Effects can be granted to Golden Ships. By using Inscription Certificates obtainable from Season Rank Rewards and other sources, you can assign specific Effects deterministically.

With Ship Inscription Effects, even identical Ships can develop specialized abilities, further increasing the value of Golden Ships.

Since Ducats are primarily consumed when selecting random Effects, the importance of Trade content, which provides Ducats, will increase accordingly.

[Enhancement Separation]

As new parts and Gear continue to be added, Enhancement Separation will be introduced to improve convenience. This feature allows you to extract Enhancement levels from existing parts or Gear and transfer them to other parts or Gear.

Enhancement Separation requires a newly added Enhancement Separator item.

In addition, a new Enhancement menu will be introduced, significantly improving accessibility compared to the previous limitation of Shipyards and Tool Shops.

Related convenience improvements, such as hiding warning pop-ups during enhancement attempts, will also be implemented.

[Remote Investment Improvements]

To address the fatigue of investing individually in over 200 Cities even after purchasing Remote Investment products, a Bulk Investment feature will be added.

With Bulk Investment, you can invest the same amount in all Cities at once or invest up to the minimum Rank Rewards threshold of 500 points in one action.

[Guild Effect Additions]

As many Companies have already Learned all available Guild Effects, new Guild Effects will be added in response to requests for expanded Company content.

Previously undeveloped Guild Effects will also be activated or replaced so that all Guild Effects become available for use.

[Barter Convenience Improvements]

To reduce the number of operations required during Negotiation in Barter, a new feature will allow all Negotiations to be processed at once.

[Land Exploration Memory Optimization]

An issue where repeated Land Exploration excessively consumed memory—especially on mobile devices, making long sessions difficult—has been improved.

To improve the gameplay environment for our Admirals, Uncharted Waters Origin is preparing for a server merge.

The server merge is scheduled to take place in April, after the season ends on 4/5. The servers to be merged are as follows:

1. Merged Server 1: Indian Ocean 1, Indian Ocean 2, Indian Ocean 3, Coral Sea
2. Merged Server 2: Blue Ocean Pacific Ocean, Indian Ocean (2/27 09:13 Edited)

Further details regarding the server merge will be provided in a separate notice. We will continue striving to provide a more comfortable gameplay experience for our Admirals.

We fully recognize that restoring the trust and sentiment of the Admirals who were hurt by our lack of communication and unilateral enforcement of updates must be our top priority.

The new systems scheduled for March, such as Ship Inscription and Enhancement Separation, will not serve merely as additional currency sinks.

We will carefully refine and release them so they function according to their original intent—preserving the value of your existing Golden Ships and reducing the burden of growth. Furthermore, through a complete renewal of Season Investment Rank Rewards and improvements to Combat Rewards, we will ensure that your time and efforts are properly rewarded.

It is solely thanks to your support and honest criticism that Uncharted Waters Origin has reached its 3.5th Anniversary.

Taking this incident as a lesson, we will become a development team that listens first and communicates more closely with our Admirals.
