This is Chul-woo Park, the Director of Uncharted Waters Origin.

As we approach the end of Investment Season 5, we are nearing the finish line.

As previously announced, this season will conclude on April 5, and a new journey is set to begin.

In this letter, I would like to speak in detail about the 'Pre-season' being introduced ahead of Regular Season 6,

and our future update direction for 'Preserving Ship Value', which concerns your precious assets.

Various season-exclusive rewards have been meaningful goals for active Admirals.

However, new and returning Admirals expressed regret over missing past rewards.

Thus, we are introducing a 'Pre-season' to provide another chance to obtain them.

Pre-season features content from Seasons 1-4. You can obtain popular Mates, Parts, and Gear.

(Weekly Investment Points are awarded, but Pre-season Rank Rewards are excluded.)

To honor existing Admirals, 'honorary' rewards like Ships, Appearances, and limited Appellations are excluded.

• Pre-season Period: April 6 (Mon) – May 10 (Sun)

• Regular Season 6 Period: May 11 (Mon) – August 9 (Sun) (Subject to change based on the update schedule)

[Key Differences in Pre-season]

• Rank Rewards for the season will not be given.

  * Weekly Investment Point rewards will be given.

• Previous season-exclusive rewards can be obtained through using products or content.

• Some major content from the previous season will return.

[Main Rewards for This Pre-season]

• Through this Pre-season, you can obtain some Season Rewards from Investment Seasons 1–4.

   - Rank Rewards: Not provided

   - Season Mates: Purchase with Mileage at Shop > Exchange

     * Season Mates added to the Exchange will remain available after the Pre-season ends.

   - Season Event Shop Appellations: Available at the Pre-season Event Shop

   - Season Parts and Gear: Available at the Pre-season Event Shop

     * Pre-season Event Shop items may be available again in the future after the Pre-season ends.

Next, I would like to share the future development direction

for major content to be added with Regular Season 6, especially regarding Ships.

With the introduction of Extra Large Ships and the Ship Inscription system starting from Grade 26,

the future release format for ships will be partially changed.

The Ship Inscription system, exclusive to Extra Large Ships, was added in the March update.

Combining and inscribing Golden Ships consumes a vast amount of Currency.

If a new Grade 27 ship were released now,

Admirals would have to consume entirely new Materials and additional Currency for construction,

leading to a rapid decline in the value of existing Grade 26 ships.

Therefore, in the May update, we will have a breathing period

without releasing new Grade 27 ships so that the existing value can be enjoyed longer.

We will introduce new ship grades once you have sufficiently utilized your current ships,

and we are exploring various angles for new ship features.

Instead, Grade 26 Special Ships will be added as a new goal and honorary reward for fiercer competition.

These ships will utilize some existing Grade 26 systems and Materials while delivering powerful performance across various content.

In line with this, the difficulty of obtaining standard Grade 26 ships will be eased to help mid-tier Admirals smoothly prepare for the next season.

Additionally, as the start date for Season 6 has changed,

ships—a key content added with the season—will be provided through the May update.

First, we sincerely apologize to Admirals for the change to the Season 5 final ranking rewards without prior notice.

The change was made without sufficient prior notice to Admirals who had been fiercely competing for rankings until the very end of the season, 

and we deeply bow our heads in apology for the confusion this has caused.

At the time of the Season 5 start announcement last December,

we informed you that a 'Grade 27 Golden Ship Selection Voucher' would be provided as a season ranking reward.

However, in accordance with the previously mentioned ship grade rebalancing policy, 

the system grade and name of the reward have been

changed to 'Grade 26 Golden Ship Selection Voucher II (obtainable: new Grade 26 Special Golden Ship)'. 

We once again apologize for changing the reward that was announced in advance.

However, we firmly promise that the value of the rewards will not be diminished, 

so that the intense effort and honor you have invested will never be in vain.

The ‘Grade 26 Special Golden Ship’ to be provided as a reward this time is labeled as Grade 26 only within the game, 

but it will be delivered with the overwhelming base stats and specialized effects equivalent to the originally planned and announced 'Grade 27'. 

We will thoroughly prepare to ensure that the name change does not lead to any reduction in reward value,

and that top-ranking Admirals can fully experience performance worthy of their status.

Although this was a necessary decision for the long-term economic balance of the game and the preservation of ship value, 

we sincerely apologize once again for not being able to provide a smooth explanation during the process.

With this incident as an opportunity, 

we will plan updates more carefully and become Uncharted Waters Origin that prioritizes protecting the value of Admirals' gameplay above all else.
