Hello, Admirals.

First, we apologize for the occurrence of the Research Points over-acquisition issue.

The investigation into the Research Points over-acquisition phenomenon has been completed,

and we would like to provide details on the findings and subsequent follow-up measures.

■ Identification of the Phenomenon and Cause

As a result of the investigation,

a systemic exception case was identified where rewards were duplicately issued to accounts under specific conditions during

the sequential updates of 'Company Research retroactive distribution' on January 22, 2025,

and 'Chronicles Research Points reward improvement' on April 23, 2025.

* As of the time of this notice, the maximum number of Research Points that can be acquired is 74.

1. Cause:

- Step 1: Memoirs Step 1 reward reset

To allow Admirals who had already completed existing Chronicles to experience the improved rewards,

the system was changed starting from July 2024 to allow the sequential re-acquisition of steps 1–15 of the Chronicles Memoirs rewards.

- Step 2: Introduction of Research system and retroactive distribution (February 7, 2025)

With the update of the Company Research system,

Research Points were retroactively distributed to Admirals who had completed Step 16 of Chronicles before the maintenance on February 7, 2025.

- Step 3: Downward adjustment of reward stages (May 12, 2025)

The reward location for Chronicles Research Points was moved from the previous Step 16 to Step 1.

During this process, accounts that had already received the retroactive distribution should have been restricted from receiving

the Step 1 reward duplicately, but a systemic exception case occurred.

- Step 4: Occurrence of duplicate acquisition for Returning Admirals

When an Admiral who had paused their sailing after finishing Chronicles

before July 2024 (Step 1) returned after May12, 2025 (Step 3), the following data duplication occurred.

Data A: 'Retroactive distribution points' automatically added by the system (Feb 2025)

Data B: 'Research Points' directly received as a Step 1 reward after returning (After May 2025)

Since the over-issuance of Research Points begins from the moment the first free Memoirs reward is acquired on accounts

where such abnormal data is applied, it is a situation that is difficult for many Admirals to recognize that a problem has occurred.

2. Occurrence Period: After the May 12, 2025 update – Before the April 8, 2026 maintenance

3. Identified Users: Total of 36,316 users

■ Follow-up Measures

- To rectify the in-game fairness, we intend to take the following measures.

1. Recovery and Normalization of Over-acquired Points

- Through the regular maintenance on Wednesday, April 8, Research Points for all accounts with over-issued Research Points will be normalized.

* After the normalization of Research Points, the Company Research progress of all Admirals will be reset, so please proceed with it again.

2. Reward Distribution

■ Apology Reward

We are providing a reward to express our apologies to the Admirals who may have been distressed by the over-issuance of Research Points.

- Eligibility: Admirals whose Research Points were not over-issued

- Distribution Period: Distributed via Mailbox upon login within 7 days after the April 2 temporary maintenance (Mail storage period: 3 days)

- Reward Details: 1 Ideal Part Selection Voucher

■ Compensation for All

To restore the trust of the Admirals hurt by this incident, we are providing a reward to all Admirals to express our sincere apologies.

- Eligibility: All Admirals

- Distribution Period: Distributed via Mailbox upon login within 7 days after the April 2 temporary maintenance (Mail storage period: 3 days)

- Reward Details: 1 Grade 25 Golden Ship Selection Voucher

The fact that this issue remained unrecognized and neglected for a long period is an inexcusable fault of the management team.

Through these measures, we will rectify the broken fairness and completely re-examine our system verification processes to ensure that the same problem does not recur in the future.
