This is Chul-Woo Park, Director of Uncharted Waters Origin.

Summer is already in full swing. I hope you are enjoying your time on the blue seas of Uncharted Waters Origin.

Recently, as I read the many messages you sent to the development team,

I felt deeply sorry that we had not been able to ease the frustration you must have felt sooner.

We will listen more carefully so that your valuable feedback can be fully reflected in our updates,

and we will do our utmost to repay you with better service.

Through this letter, I would like to share news about the July update,

including the long-awaited Company Research revamp, as well as what we are preparing afterward.

[Company Research Improvemen

The long-awaited Company Research revamp is finally here.

Moving beyond the previous single-specialization structure,

it has been redesigned to fully support a wider variety of playstyles.

1. Separate Research Points by Category:

Research Points will be separated into Adventure, Trade, and Combat, allowing each category

to be spent independently so you can develop multiple fields at the same time.

2. Reduced Reset Cost:

The cost to Reset Company Research will change

from Red Gems to Blue Gems, making it much easier to adjust your research.

3. Improved Research Convenience:

Research slots will be added for each category, making it easier to switch between builds.

A new feature will also allow you to acquire Research in bulk up to your desired LV.

[Relationship Chronicle Added]

We have actively incorporated the story-related feedback you shared through the recent Chronicles survey.

A new Relationship Chronicle will be added, featuring the untold stories that could not be covered in the Admiral Chronicles.

1. July Update:

The Relationship Chronicle of Fabio Mendes, who left a lasting impression in the Vittorio Sartori Chronicles, will be added.

2. During Season 7:

The Relationship Chronicle of Aurélie, the trusted ally of Linus Rachet, will be released in sequence, bringing the story to its conclusion.

[Additional Combat AI Improvements]

Based on the feedback you shared following the June AI update,

we have addressed an issue where skills such as Combat Cry and Spy were repeatedly used even

when their buff or debuff effects were already active on the battlefield, causing turns to be wasted.

If the same effect is already active, the AI will now be less likely to use that Skill, further improving the efficiency of AUTO Combat.

[Summer Event]

A brand-new Summer Event begins with the July update.

You'll be able to obtain new swimsuit Gear and participate in the event-exclusive Barter.

[UI & Convenience Improvements]

1. Barter UI Renewal:

The Barter UI will be redesigned with a cleaner look and consolidated information.

Convenience will also be improved by allowing you to negotiate and complete exchanges in one flow.

2. Combat Improvements:

Unnecessary animation delays during Consecutive Combat and Repel will be significantly reduced.

3. Guild Contribution Improvements:

A confirmation popup will now appear when spending Red Gems for Guild Contribution.

[Server Merge]

Following the first server merge, a second server merge is planned for the August update

to bring even more activity and competitive excitement to the game.

Unlike the previous merge, this one will begin alongside the start of the new season

without a Pre-season period, allowing Admirals to jump straight into the new competition without interruption.

The detailed schedule and additional information will be announced separately at a later date.

[Use of Unauthorized Programs]

Recently, we have received reports regarding suspected use of unauthorized programs

by some players and are conducting thorough investigations through our security system.

If any violations of our Fair Play Guidelines are confirmed,

penalties in accordance with our Operational Policy may be applied,

including account suspensions of at least 30 days or permanent bans.

To provide a safe and fair sailing environment, we will continue strengthening our security system.

We are also actively reviewing additional verification methods,

such as in-game quizzes and CAPTCHAs, to prevent automated repetitive gameplay using unauthorized programs.

Thanks to your continued support, Uncharted Waters Origin is proudly approaching its meaningful 4th anniversary.

To celebrate our 4th anniversary on August 23,

the August update will introduce Season 7, along with a variety of special anniversary events.

We also know there are many areas that Admirals have wanted to see improved.

In addition to new content, the August update will include a wide range of gameplay improvements.

[Key Improvements]

- Reduced time required for time-consuming content, including Build and Training

- Revised stat calculation for Pets, Appellations, and Disguises,

   allowing you to freely choose your preferred appearance regardless of assigned stats

- Improved usability of the Palace Contribution Shop

- Added Exploration Combat Power to Scouting Expertise

- Reworked Build material acquisition and construction costs to encourage more shipbuilding

We are continuing to improve many of the areas that Admirals have requested over the years.

More details will be shared in our next letter.

[June Participation Event]

For our upcoming 4th Anniversary event in August,

we're preparing a Paid Mate Selection Voucher as a special gift to thank all Admirals for your continued support.

While we may not be able to include every suggestion, we'll use your feedback to help create an even more rewarding 4th Anniversary event.

where our development team has not fully lived up to your expectations. It left me with both a deep sense of responsibility and sincere regret.

The improvements we shared today are only the beginning.

We will continue working not only on system improvements, but also with the sincere commitment of our entire development team to ensure

that the time and effort you invest in this world become even more meaningful.

This summer, we will do everything we can to make sure you can once again experience thrilling adventures across the refreshing seas of Uncharted Waters Origin.

We will carefully prepare every last detail before bringing it to you.
