This is Chul-Woo Park, Director of Uncharted Waters Origin.

On August 23, Uncharted Waters Origin marks its 4th Anniversary since beginning its voyage together with our Admirals.

Over the past 4 years, your warm support, valuable feedback, and at times,

candid criticism have all been a precious driving force in shaping Uncharted Waters Origin into what it is today.

We sincerely thank all Admirals who have been with us throughout this long journey.

Just as the past 4 years have been a journey we have created together with our Admirals,

we will continue to listen closely to your voices and strive to create a better voyage together.

With that in mind, we would like to share the direction Uncharted Waters Origin aims to take going forward

and the promises we make to our Admirals.

📝 A Promise for a Better Voyage

First, we will protect Admirals' valuable efforts and records.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused by systemic issues during competitive content such as Growth Competition,

and for failing to provide an environment where the efforts and preparation of our Admirals could fully shine.

As reflected in the feedback you have shared, even a small variable can change the rankings and results in competitive content,

so this is also an area where Admirals may feel great disappointment and frustration.

In particular, to ensure that the records and achievements built through long periods of effort do not remain as disappointing memories due to systemic issues,

we will pay closer attention to how our Admirals feel and strive to provide an experience that reflects the value of your efforts.

For future competitive content, we will inspect the relevant systems and data more thoroughly from before the start until the end,

and strengthen our review process so that you can participate in competition in a stable environment.

In addition, for Auction House Parts provided as major rewards for competitive events,

we will provide additional opportunities to obtain them outside of competitive events

and prepare more events so that Admirals can obtain them in various ways.

Once again, we apologize for the inconvenience and disappointment caused to the Admirals who prepared for and participated in the competitive content.

Second, we will create a balance that reflects the value of Admirals' investments.

Since the addition of Luxury Parts and +12 Enhancement,

we have received feedback that their performance feels lacking compared to the cost invested, or that there are concerns regarding stat distribution.

We are carefully reviewing the relevant balance so that Admirals can fully feel the value of the time and cost they have invested,

and we will continue to improve areas that require adjustments.

Third, we will not stop making convenience improvements.

Although we made various convenience improvements through the 4th Anniversary update, there were still areas that were lacking or that we were unable to address.

We are currently preparing the following improvements for the September update.

Going forward, we will continue to make improvements without overlooking even the smallest inconveniences Admirals experience while playing the game.

1) Religion System Improvements

- The Sanctuary in the City of Manila will be changed to a Cathedral.

- Religion Effects will be improved so that they can be accumulated up to 3 times to extend their duration.

2) Remote Investment Improvements

- Season Investment Deeds will be improved so that they can be used for Remote Investment.

3) Appellation and Disguise System Revamp

- The system will be revamped so that, instead of the Effects of the currently equipped Appellation and Disguise,

  the highest value for each stat among the Appellations and Disguises owned will be applied.

- Through this, Admirals will be able to freely select and equip Appellations and Disguises with the appearance they want, regardless of stats.

Fourth, we will create an environment where everyone can sail fairly.

We are taking seriously the situation where repetitive play using multiple alternate accounts and

unauthorized programs may cause Admirals who play the game normally to feel a relative sense of deprivation due to the impact such behavior has on the game.

As one of the measures to reduce this gap, this update removed the Energy consumption for Consecutive Repel.

Along with this, to reduce the issue of gaining benefits through repetitive manual Combat using unauthorized programs,

we are also considering a measure that consumes Energy when manual Combat is performed more than a certain number of times.

We will carefully review the applicable criteria and scope to ensure that this does not cause inconvenience during normal gameplay.

We will also review whether there are any issues caused by abnormal repetitive play in content other than Combat.

Going forward, to ensure that Admirals' legitimate efforts and in-game value are not undermined,

we will continue to improve the relevant systems in a direction that minimizes inconvenience to normal gameplay

while reducing excessive gains obtained through abnormal play.

🎞️ The War of Genesis Collaboration Rerun Preview

To celebrate the 4th Anniversary, we are preparing a rerun of The War of Genesis collaboration content that many Admirals have been waiting for.

Admirals and Mates that received much love during the previous The War of Genesis collaboration

will once again appear in Uncharted Waters Origin.

As new and returning Admirals have also been waiting for a long time, we would appreciate it if you could wait just a little longer.

Detailed schedules and information will be provided through a separate notice once preparations are complete.

⚓ Season 7 Trade System Improvement Status and Future Direction

We have continued to review the various feedback from Admirals regarding the Season 7 Trade content since the update.

Based on the feedback provided by Admirals, we have improved some Trade content,

and would like to provide information on the improvements made so far and the future direction for operating Trade content.

1. Season Trade Goods and Category Balance Adjustments

This Season, rather than focusing on specific high-grade Trade Goods,

we aim to increase the overall utilization of categories so that a variety of Trade Goods can be used.

Accordingly, through the previous temporary maintenance,

we expanded the places where the Season Trade Good 'Box of Nutmeg' can be sold and increased the Preference for the Artwork and Fabrics categories.

Going forward, we will continue to monitor market prices and

profits to ensure that profits do not decrease compared to using existing high-grade Trade Goods, and make adjustments where necessary.

2. Introduction of Additional Purchasing System for Major Trend

To reduce the disappointment of not being able to sell enough Trade Goods after missing the selling opportunity despite preparing for a Major Trend,

we introduced a system that continues to purchase Trade Goods for a certain period of time even after the Major Trend ends.

Going forward, we will continue to review the system so that various market price events,

including Major Trend, can be utilized while considering the balance with existing Market Events.

3. Booming System Revamp and Enhanced Monopoly Benefits

Under the existing Booming system, low-priced Trade Goods with low trading volumes were often selected as Booming targets,

which resulted in limited practical use.

Through this revamp, Booming has been changed to occur based on the 'Season Category' rather than the proportion of trading volume,

allowing Season Trade Goods to be utilized more actively.

In addition, Booming has been changed to apply to Trade Goods under Guild Monopoly and Limited Area Monopoly,

increasing the benefits of Trade using Monopoly Trade Goods as well.

Going forward, Trade content will maintain a stable structure centered around Season Barter Trade Goods.

Along with this, we will continue to revamp Trade content so that Admirals can discover new Trade routes that

can generate high profits based on global trends and circumstances,

and enjoy the experience of trading along those routes.

Just as scattered stars come together to form a beautiful constellation,

the past 4 years we have spent together with our Admirals have been a brilliant history in themselves.

To live up to the expectations of the Admirals who have shared this history with us,

our development team will listen more closely to your voices, carefully consider what is needed,

and make changes one by one toward a better direction.

We hope to continue being together with our Admirals on the new voyages that await us beyond the 4th Anniversary.
